For those riders who love to climb hills, there is nowhere better than the Carnegie SVRA OHV Park in California. The rolling hills are everywhere with various grades ranging from easy climbs to incredibly steep inclines.
The areas are marked for easy use, so novice riders will know where to go for stress-less fun and experts can seek out the greatest challenges the park has to offer. These hills are a blast with wide open riding areas, a variety of trails, and even several tracks.
The staging area offers shade with covered tables and camping alongside. There is even a little store onsite offering parts and gear along with firewood, hot food, and cold beverages.
Make sure that your vehicles have spark arrestors because the park management will check your rides at the gate. With the hot grassy desert terrain, it wouldn’t take much to start the brush on fire.
If you’re traveling from Reno, Nevada, take the I-80 West to Sacramento. From there, turn onto I-5 going south to I-205. The I-205 will take you to I-580 south. After about 20-30 minutes, you’ll see Carnegie’s entrance come up on your right.
