Located on a Hereford cattle ranch in South Dakota, the Talsmas Trail Park is fun riding park with miles of trails weaving through the grassland and offering views of the Missouri River. The easy trails are fun for riders of all ages, but offer few challenges for expert riders.

There are some trails that accommodate ATVs and OHVs, while all of them permit bicycles and hiking. There are camping sites available for those who purchase a two-day riding package, but campfires are prohibited.

The only amenities on site are vault toilets, so you may want to investigate the surrounding areas for the amenities you desire for your trip. There are RV hookups and disposal, gas stations, a swim area, camping, water, and other necessities in nearby Avon.

As it does run alongside the Missouri River, expect some mud splashing fun on this trail. The view on some parts is expansive and beautiful with green rolling hills meeting the blue water of the river.

To get to the Talasmas Trail Park from Avon, take the 407th going south about 10 miles. Turn west on 312th Street and drive another 3 miles. Turn south on 404th Ave. going another mile to the park entrance, which will come up on your right. Have fun out there!
